Purpose: “Practice makes perfect” (not really), but it does make us more confident and comfortable. Practice the presentations the family will be using in the ministry that week or other topics you may need to defend your faith in, such as: blood transfusions, birthday celebrations, holidays or other bible topics.
Instructions: First discuss what you might say, keeping it simple according to each member’s age and teaching ability. Then act it out. Take turns trading places, giving each family member a chance to not only be the publisher, but also the householder. Feel free to occasionally add some silly responses and Have Fun!
Discussion: Use material from our meeting workbook or other printed material. Discuss possible questions posed or conversation stoppers. Help young ones with simply answers or responses. After practicing, review how things went, offer sincere commendation and helpful tips.
With regular practice and good training, young and old will be ready to make a defense to anyone that demands a reason for our hope. 1 Peter 3:15
